An innovative strategy that takes NeighborWorks® Rochester back to our revitalization roots and creates lasting impacts in City neighborhoods.  We work with residents and stakeholders in transitional neighborhoods. Our focus is:

Physical Conditions - We create incentives for residents to make their homes billboards for the highest neighborhood standards

Community Building - We develop tools to help people become good neighbors & leaders.

Image - We work with residents to create a neighborhood identity and market themselves as places of choice


We use the following to support our Healthy Blocks:

  • Special reduced loan rates for home improvement
  • Group purchasing to save time and money on common repairs
  • Leadership training for neighborhood residents
  • Community projects to improve physical
    conditions and encourage civic engagement
