Through thoughtful design and partnering with others,
Macon Chaintreuil Jensen & Stark Architects has worked for
nearly 30 years on projects to help develop Rochester and
its downtown area as places to not only work but to live and
play as well. Notable projects include Grove Place
Preservation District, Eastman Place, Ibero-American Action
League Family Preservation Center, RCSD School of the Arts,
Strong Museum Atrium, Writers & Books addition/renovation,
Action for a Better Community Business Incubator & Daycare,
and the Hudson Avenue Head Start Center.

With a site plan developed by Passero Associates & NH
Architecture and in collaboration with the City of
Rochester, Housing opportunities revitalized the former West
Square Manor, transforming it from an “eyesore” into an
aesthetically and architecturally improved living space for
residents around West Main Street and the Susan B. Anthony
District.

Progressive Neighborhood Federal Credit Union (PNFCU)
PNFCU has a membership of culturally diverse, low-income
people who live, work, go to school, worship and volunteer
in Rochester. As a financial institution with $3.1 million
in assets, Progressive Neighborhood Federal Credit Union
endeavors to provide a community-development vehicle for
investing in Rochester and its people through financial
education, encouraging savings, and providing appropriate,
affordable credit opportunities.
Larry Glazer of Buckingham Properties
As the founder of Buckingham Properties, Larry Glazer has
built a business specializing in the acquisition and
rehabilitation of under-utilized commercial properties. His
commitment to revitalizing Rochester has helped to attract
many new, small businesses to once vacant commercial and
industrial spaces.
J.E. “Red” Gramlich Lifetime Achievement Award
For individuals who have
demonstrated significant accomplishments in the field of
community development and leading to an improved quality of
life in Rochester’s neighborhoods
Sister Bethany LeValley
A tireless advocate on behalf of economic development
initiatives.
With enthusiasm and a spirit of collaboration, Sister
Bethany LeValley helped lead efforts to create the
Progressive Neighborhood Federal Credit Union as well as the
Community Micro-enterprise Center, which provides discounted
rental rates to micro- and small businesses that have a
social-investment component.
Vincent Carfagna
Finance Director for the City of Rochester and a
dedicated volunteer for countless non-profit organizations.
Vincent Carfagna has devoted
many years of volunteer service in helping to establish
better relationships between code enforcement officers for
the city and organizations such as Neighborhood Housing
Services of Rochester, which offer financing to city
residents seeking to make improvements to their homes.
